Settings
The Settings page is where you manage your organization's configuration. It is organized into tabs. In the sidebar, Settings expands into a list of the same tabs, so you can jump straight to the one you need.
Divisions
The Divisions tab manages your divisions and locations. Each division has a name, a division code, a warehouse code, and a code year. You can Add Division, edit a division, and deactivate one (you confirm by typing its name). Filter by status and search by name.
Builders
The Builders tab manages builder organizations and their settings: contact information, warranty duration, division markups, trade brand preferences, automated imports, and integration credentials. You can Add Builder, edit a builder, deactivate or reactivate one, and manage a builder's automated imports and import credentials. Filter by status and search by name.
Each builder has an Audit Log that records changes to its settings, such as when automated imports were turned on or off and which divisions were affected. You can narrow the log with the filter row above it: an Audit Date range, a Change Type, a Modified By person, and a Time Zone for the times shown. Each filter you turn on appears as a pill below the row, and you can remove it with the × on the pill. Use Show concise changes to trim each old value to just the fields that changed, Expand all changes to open every entry's detail at once, and Export to save the log to CSV or PDF.
Automated imports are only available on systems where the feature is turned on. When it is turned off, the Automated Imports section does not appear on a builder, and the Enable Imports and Run Now buttons are unavailable. If a schedule was set up before the feature was turned off, you can still turn it off. This does not affect the ConstructEase Import Service on the Integrations page, which is always available.
Utility Companies
The Utility Companies tab manages the electric, gas, and other utility providers used on projects. Each entry has a name, website, and notes. You can Add Utility Company, edit one, and deactivate or reactivate it.
Brands
The Brands tab manages the product brands available for trade selections. You can Add Brand, edit a brand's name, and delete a brand.
User Accessibility
The User Accessibility tab manages roles and the permissions assigned to them. Roles are listed across the top and resources (such as Projects, Accounting, and Schedule) down the side, forming a grid of permissions.
You can Add Role, rename a role, and deactivate one. Turn on edit mode to change permissions, then check or uncheck the View, Create, Edit, and resource-specific actions for each role, and save your changes. Use the search box to find a permission by name, and note the dependency hints, which point out when one permission must be enabled before another.
Folder Permissions
The Folder Permissions tab sets your organization's default Library folder access, per role and per trade, split by residential and commercial project type. Changes must be saved and confirmed before they take effect.
App
The App tab controls organization-wide appearance, messaging, which schedule calendar everyone in the organization uses, and who is copied on subcontractor purchase order emails.
The Schedule card chooses the calendar shown on the Schedule page. Turn Use new schedule calendar (v2) on to give every user in this organization the rebuilt calendar. Turn it off to keep everyone on the original calendar. There is no per-user override.
The Subcontractor PO Office Copy card lists the mailboxes copied on every subcontractor purchase order email your organization sends from the Accounting > Subcontractor P.O.'s tab — both the payroll email and the assembly email. Add Office Address to add one, and use the delete button to remove one. Leave the list empty and purchase orders go to the subcontractor with nobody copied. You can copy up to ten addresses.
Each address is checked when you save, so a typo is caught here rather than turning into a purchase order that fails to send later.
The Environment Badge is the small label shown in the header next to search. Turn Show environment badge on or off, and set a Custom Badge Label to override the default deployment environment name (leave it blank to use the default). You can choose separate background and text colors for light mode and dark mode, Reset default colors to start over, and check the Preview to see how the badge will look.
Anyone can click the badge in the header to personalize its text and colors for their own account, which overrides these organization settings just for them. Use Reset to organization in that dialog to go back to the shared settings.
Banner Announcements are messages shown across the top of the app for everyone in your organization. Add Announcement to create one, type its Message (you can include a link), and use Show this announcement to turn each banner on or off. Remove a banner with the delete button. Empty messages are not shown. You can configure up to ten announcements.
Project Requirements
The Project Requirements tab manages the installation and inspection phases (stages) used on project schedules for each trade. Each stage has a name, display name, initials, type, trade, order, and flags such as walk, punch, locate, under-slab, and final stage.
Builder Email Templates
Each stage carries its own Builder Email Templates, used by the Email Builder Superintendent buttons on the schedule. There is one template group for installation emails and one for inspection emails.
Each email group has an English and a Spanish tab, and every email is built from two stacked sections plus a signature:
Subject (Standard): always the standard format and cannot be changed. It names the project, the stage, the trade, and the phase (for example,
BUX-5 | LOWER ROUGH PLUMBING INSTALLATION). The trade is left out when the stage name already includes it, so it is never repeated.Standard (always sent): the main wording, sent every time. It starts as the default wording for the stage's trade and phase and is marked with a Default badge. Edit it to override the wording for this stage, and the badge changes to Edited. Use Reset to default to return to the default wording.
Custom (optional, added after the standard text): extra text added after the standard section. It is included only when its English box is filled in. If the Spanish custom box is left empty, the Spanish section sends the standard text only.
A Preview under each tab shows how the assembled email will read.
You can insert live values with placeholders: {{projectId}}, {{stage}}, {{date}}, {{location}}, {{replyTo}}, and {{orgName}} (capitalization and spaces inside the braces do not matter). Include {{replyTo}} in the body so builder replies are forwarded to the right division inbox.
Permissions
You need Settings permission to open the page. Saving changes to a role's permissions requires an administrator role, so a non-administrator can view the User Accessibility grid but cannot save edits to it.
