Install Date Matching
Some installation stages are always scheduled for the same day, such as several plumbing rough stages that happen on one visit. Install date matching lets you group those stages so they share a single install schedule date. When you set the date on one stage, the matched stages move with it.
You configure this on each stage in Settings, under project requirements.
Stage settings
When you edit a project requirement stage, you can turn on:
Enable Locate: shows this stage as a Locate schedule date column and stage filter option on the Locate tab. See Locate.
Install Date Match Group: a name you give to a set of stages that should share the same install schedule date, for example
plumbing-rough-water-sewer. Stages with the same value share the install schedule date when matching is turned on for a project.
Matching on a project schedule
On a project's install schedule, the Match Install Date Group option keeps stages in the same group on the same date. With it on, changing one stage's install date updates the other stages in its group.
Matching during a bulk schedule edit
When you bulk edit installation stage events, you can choose to move the dates of locked paired stages in the same install date match group along with your edit. Turn this on only when you want those locked, paired dates to move with the bulk change.
Matching during automated imports
When an install schedule date arrives through an automated builder import, the matched stages in the same group receive the same date. This keeps paired stages together even when the import only carries a date for one of them. Matching applies here only when Match Install Date Group is turned on for the project, and it never changes a stage whose date is locked.
